Rental agreement

This plain-language rental agreement summary explains payment, confirmation, care, return, and deposit expectations for JJ’s Baby Gear Rentals. It should be reviewed before live launch and may be supplemented by written booking notes for a specific rental.

Quote, payment, and confirmation

  • JJ’s Baby Gear Rentals reviews each request before sending a Stripe Checkout link or manual Interac e-Transfer instructions for pickup or delivery rentals.
  • The quoted total shown to the customer at payment time includes the rental charge, any delivery fee, any applicable tax decision, and the damage deposit when quoted.
  • A booking is confirmed only after Stripe reports the payment as paid, or after JJ’s Baby Gear Rentals verifies an e-transfer in the bank account, and the final availability check is complete.
  • If payment is received but the final check needs owner review, JJ’s Baby Gear Rentals will contact the customer to confirm, rebook, or refund the rental.

Customer responsibilities

  • The customer agrees to provide accurate contact, rental date, pickup or delivery, and setup information.
  • The customer is responsible for reading and following manufacturer setup, age, ventilation, supervision, and safety guidance before use.
  • The rental item must be used only for its intended purpose and must not be altered, repaired, washed against instructions, or used in unsafe conditions.

Return condition and damage deposit

  • The rental item and included accessories must be returned on time, clean, dry, complete, and in substantially the same condition as received.
  • JJ’s Baby Gear Rentals reviews the item after return before closing the damage deposit.
  • The deposit may be used for missing accessories, damage, late return, excessive cleaning, replacement parts, or other costs caused by the rental period.
  • Any approved deposit refund is processed through Stripe or manually recorded by the owner for the customer record. If the deposit was collected by Interac e-Transfer, it is money received and manually refunded later, not a card authorization hold.

Pickup, delivery, and availability

  • Pickup and delivery windows are coordinated directly with the customer after the request is accepted.
  • The customer must be reachable at the contact information provided and must make the item available for return at the agreed time.
  • Availability can change until payment and final confirmation are complete. JJ’s Baby Gear Rentals will not knowingly accept overlapping confirmed rentals.
